Abdominoplasty (Tummy tuck)

Our surgical unit offers different techniques to correct and improve the abdomen depending on the needs of each patient. Mini-abdominoplasty is ideal for more localised cases, treating only the area below the navel and leaving a smaller scar. A full abdominoplasty corrects the entire abdomen, repositions the navel and tightens the abdominal muscles. The extended abdominoplasty includes a thigh lift and improves the body’s lateral contour. Finally, circumferential abdominoplasty is recommended after major weight loss and reshapes the abdomen, flanks, back and buttocks.

Full correction of the abdomen

We place incisions in discreet areas, such as the pubic crease, to hide any scarring below underwear. In addition, we tighten weakened muscles and remove excess tissue, resulting in a firmer and more toned abdomen. These techniques reduce complications and promote healing.

Drain-free technique for faster recovery

In some cases, special sutures are used to minimise fluid accumulation, avoiding the use of drains and promoting a faster recovery, allowing the patient to return to daily life more quickly.

Key to improving abdominoplasty results is to combine the basic correction of the abdominal area with additional procedures to enhance the final result.

Navel and abdominal wall

Except for mini-abdominoplasties, reconstruction and repositioning of the navel is usually necessary to make it look natural. In addition, diastasis recti (separation between the two long, flat muscles at the front of the abdomen, one on each side of the midline) can be repaired by plication of the abdominal muscles, restoring firmness to the abdomen.

Lipoabdominoplasty

In many cases, abdominoplasty is combined with liposuction to better define the waistline and achieve more harmonious results. This surgical procedure removes excess skin and fatty deposits from the surrounding areas, such as the flanks and lower abdomen. In addition, abdominal muscles can be tightened if there is weakness or diastasis recti (abdominal separation). This is ideal for patients with moderate to severe abdominal sagging who also wish to improve the overall shape of the abdomen.

Post-operative support

After surgery, our patients are offered specific treatments to improve the post-operative period, speed up recovery, reduce the risk of complications and achieve a more aesthetic result. For the convenience of the patient, these treatments are provided by units within the group.

Help to reduce scarring
