Endolaser

Subcision is a technique used to treat depressed, also known as atrophic, scars. These scars are commonly associated with acne or trauma and are caused by dermal collagen destruction and downward traction exerted by fibrous bands anchored in deeper skin layers.

Elevation of depressed tissue

Traditionally, these adhesions are released using specialised needles inserted beneath the skin to mechanically cut the fibrous tissue. Laser-assisted subcision with endolaser goes a step further: the laser’s photothermal effect breaks these adhesions while promoting elevation of the depressed tissue.

Improved skin quality and reduced risk of bruising

In addition, endolaser stimulates internal skin remodelling by activating collagen production, progressively improving skin quality and texture, resulting in a smoother and more even appearance. Subcutaneous laser treatment also reduces the risk of bruising, and its high precision allows optimal treatment of complex or delicate areas.

Redefinition of facial contours and tightening of complex areas

Its ability to induce immediate collagen contraction and stimulate new collagen formation makes endolaser a valuable tool for non-surgical facial contouring and skin tightening in complex areas such as the jawline, neck and submental region. The procedure involves introducing the optical fibre into specific points of the deep subdermal tissue and applying selective heat to achieve immediate collagen contraction and longer-term neocollagenesis.

Natural results without surgery

The tightening effect becomes progressively noticeable over the following weeks, with firmer skin, improved quality and greater turgor. This treatment is particularly suitable for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who wish to improve facial appearance without undergoing more invasive surgery.
