DermaV Laser

DermaV combines two complementary wavelengths. This configuration makes it possible to choose the most appropriate treatment according to the colour, calibre and depth of the lesion, as well as the patient’s phototype and skin characteristics.

Treatment of superficial lesions

The 532 nm wavelength, corresponding to a KTP laser, has an affinity for both haemoglobin and melanin. For this reason, it is particularly useful for treating superficial vascular lesions, diffuse redness and certain epidermal pigmentation. It also allows reddish and brownish changes to be addressed when both coexist in an area affected by photoageing.

Treatment of deeper lesions

The 1064 nm wavelength, corresponding to an Nd:YAG laser, reaches deeper structures and is indicated for larger-calibre or bluish vessels. It may be used, among other applications, for facial and periocular veins, small leg veins, venous lakes and certain vascular malformations.

Treatment effectiveness depends on selecting the right parameters for each lesion. DermaV allows the wavelength, the size of the area treated with each pulse and the pulse duration to be adapted, so that the specialist can concentrate energy on the structure to be treated while protecting the surrounding tissues.

Personalised treatment

A fine, superficial capillary does not require the same parameters as a deeper vessel, an area of diffuse redness or a pigmented lesion. The platform allows treatment to be adjusted according to the colour, calibre, depth and extent of the lesion, as well as the patient’s phototype and skin response.

Prior dermatological assessment

Prior diagnosis is essential to confirm the nature of the lesion and select the most appropriate protocol. This assessment makes it possible to determine whether DermaV is the indicated technology, establish realistic expectations and decide the approximate number of sessions, particularly in vascular, pigmented or mixed lesions.

The effectiveness of laser treatment does not depend solely on the energy used. It is also essential to control skin temperature and protect the epidermis. DermaV integrates technologies designed to improve these aspects during the procedure and to adapt skin protection to the wavelength, the area being treated and the patient’s phototype.

Adjustable cooling

Its cooling system, based on the spray delivery of a cooling agent, can be programmed before, during and after the pulse. This allows the specialist to adapt epidermal protection to the treatment being performed while improving patient comfort.

Real-time thermal monitoring

The handpiece incorporates a sensor that monitors the temperature of the skin surface during treatment and alerts the professional when the previously selected range is reached. This information allows treatment to be performed with greater control, helps assess skin response and enables the procedure to be adjusted when necessary.

DermaV incorporates a tracking system that helps distribute energy evenly during treatments performed using passes over the skin. This technology measures the movement speed of the handpiece and facilitates regular overlap between pulses, particularly when treating larger areas.

Overlap control

The tracking mechanism supports homogeneous coverage of the treated area and reduces the risk of leaving untreated areas or concentrating excessive energy on a single point. The specialist remains in control of the parameters at all times and adapts the procedure to the skin’s response.

Recovery according to the treatment performed

After the session, redness, a sensation of warmth or slight transient swelling may occur. In certain vascular or pigmentation treatments, temporary colour changes, small crusts or mild bruising may also appear.

The intensity and duration depend on the lesion and the parameters used. The specialist will indicate the necessary aftercare and photoprotection measures.

The combination of two wavelengths makes it possible to address red, purplish or bluish blood vessels of different calibres and depths. The indication and parameters are selected after assessing the type of lesion, its location and the characteristics of the skin.

Rosacea, erythrosis and facial telangiectasias

DermaV can treat both small visible vessels and the diffuse redness associated with rosacea. The procedure may combine targeted pulses on telangiectasias with broader passes over areas of erythema. The laser helps control the vascular component, but it does not eliminate the underlying predisposition to rosacea.

Angiomas, vascular malformations and veins

The platform may be used for cherry angiomas, spider veins, port-wine stains, venous lakes and other capillary or venous malformations. It also allows certain facial veins and small leg veins to be treated.

In the case of leg veins, a prior medical assessment must be performed to rule out underlying venous disorders and confirm that transdermal laser treatment is the indicated option.

DermaV’s affinity for melanin allows certain superficial pigmented lesions to be treated, while the combination of its two wavelengths makes it possible to address changes in which pigmentation and a vascular component coexist. The indication should always be established after confirming the nature of the lesion.

Sun spots and photoageing

DermaV may be used to treat solar lentigines and other superficial pigmentation. It is also useful in mixed conditions, such as poikiloderma of Civatte, and in rejuvenation protocols aimed at globally improving skin tone and radiance.

Active acne and other applications

In selected cases, the platform may be used to improve red or hypertrophic scars, bruising and persistent erythema after certain procedures. It also has protocols for active acne aimed at treating the inflammatory component and associated redness.
